House Captains
At Ark Dickens Primary Academy, we value the voice of our students. Every year pupils have the opportunity to apply for the role of a ‘house captain’. This is a wonderful responsibility which will give the children a chance to develop themselves through becoming a role model to the school. Students who apply, are expected to create a speech and say why they believe that they are the best person for job. Once voted for by their peers and teachers, the responsibility of the role enhances. Some of their responsibilities are that they: show visitors around the school, water the Queens tree, collect and collate house points weekly, healthy eating ambassadors (who monitor packed lunches and offer advice), assist in PE and team games and collect money for charity days. House captains will be given a badge which will be the colour of the house they represent.
