BEATS Charity

Before the East holidays we held a whole school cake sale to raise money for BEATS Charity ( Following the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami Lucy Page's mum and some of her church friends set up BEATS (British Earthquake and Tsunami Support) to help rebuild the lives of those affected, particularly in Indonesia.

Over the Easter holidays Lucy went out to Indonesia to visit the orphanage and school and told them  we had raised three hundred and seventy pounds, and sixty pence.  They were delighted and plan to spend it on a projector for a classroom and some additional stationary and books.

Here is a picture of Lucy (our Learning Support Assistant) with a Year 4 class and their teacher with a sign thanking ARK Dickens Primary School.
