Parent View and 2015 School Parent View Analysis Results
Ofsted Parent View
Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about our school. It asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of our school, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. Ofsted will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.
By sharing your views, you’ll be helping Ark Dickens to improve. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about us.
School Parent View Analysis
In October 2015, Ark Dickens surveyed parents of current pupils for their feedback on the quality of education provided at the school.
Key Summary of Findings;
The responses are overwhelmingly positive; here are some of the key strengths from the survey.
93% of parents stating that their child is happy at school.
91% feel their child is making good progress.
94% of parents feel that the school looks after their children well.
83% of parents would recommend this school to another parent.
Areas where we can improve:
8% of parents are concerned about behaviour in school and don’t feel the school is managing this well
18% do not feel the school is doing enough to tackle bullying; another 14% do not know if the school is or isn’t
8% of parents do not feel the level of homework is appropriate for their child’s age
To address the concerns raised we will;
- Produce a two page brochure for parents summarising the schools behaviour and anti-bullying policies
- Be reviewing the quality of behaviour
- Clarify the homework expectations per year group.
If you have any serious concerns or don’t feel you have had the chance to have your say, you can always come and speak to the Principal or a member of the Senior Leadership Team at any time.
